June's Josselings

What a privilege it was for David and me to visit with our personnel in Northern Mozambique this past week. The Harrells live on the cost and work with a group of people who have had very little to any exposure to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Inland, there are small groups of believers from a similar people who gathered for a weekend of training, teaching, and baptism.

Below is Dillon getting a bird's eye view of the baptism.
Camping with 4 little ones can be quite a challenge. Auntie Janet had a special treat to end the day with....roasting marshmallows over a cooker and making smores!

Bath time also creates challenges while camping! (Nice shorts Micha is wearing!)

Fun visiting together!

The kids played so hard with their Mozambican friends....Bato, Bato, galinha....(revised version of "duck, duck, goose...") ... dodge ball and tag.... wore the boys out! Andrew is getting his "Sabbath rest"....

David enjoying visiting with the various church leaders who came for the weekend.

The road between Cuamba and Nampula is spectacular with so many beautiful rock outcroppings. (This one actually is just outside Nampula.)The road had it's speed controls in place this day...market, wonderful weathered spots, and just a lot of "washboard". Needless to say our bodies were somewhat tired after traveling over 1500 of these types of roads. (about 950 miles!) We made a visit up to Lichinga and Sanga district. Had a nice visit with our missionary in Lichinga, with Pastor Eugenio and Fatima, and then out at Mapudje, with the chief, and other friends from that village. We spent the night camping in the yard of our former house. Had a nice visit with our friend Hussein. Praying for God to restore broken relationship, to thwart the false accusations of the Enemy, and to encourage the believers in this area. Continuing to pray for the chief, above, who was so very happy go see David. (He had already had his brew for the day and was somewhat drunk when we visited with him.)
